Before founding Mindset Digital, Betsy transformed the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at The Ohio State University into the first social media fellowship for journalists and taught graduate courses on the impact of digital media on public policy at the John Glenn School of Public Affairs.

In addition to developing digital growth strategies for clients, Marti focuses on internal growth and talent recruitment. She developed her deep expertise in strategy and digital through her roles as vice president of strategy at Mindstream Interactive and executive director of social strategy for Resource Interactive, which was one of was the largest independent agencies in the US.
Marti has long been captivated by emerging digital trends. She studied digital messaging and gender when she earned her master’s degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. And today she serves on the Advisory Board of Women in Digital USA and as an adjunct professor of social media marketing at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
As Mindset Digital’s content strategist for live events, Jen designs powerful visual stories about today’s digital world. She shapes the experience of Mindset Digital’s live events, including leading workshops and creating highly visual stories and presentations. In the process, she engages diverse audiences, from front-line sales staff to executive leadership teams.
Jen has a lifelong passion for using technology to help people connect. She honed that passion across ten years of teaching digital media at The Ohio State University and University of Michigan. And now, at Mindset Digital, she brings that same passion to broader audiences in Fortune 500 firms and healthcare organizations.
Jen has a Master of Arts in English from The Ohio State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The University of Michigan. She is currently a doctoral candidate at The Ohio State University. Her Ph.D. research examines how professionals use social media to support their everyday work.
