We understand today’s digital audience is more sophisticated, hyper-distracted and impatient. So our approach to training, called Unpack Digital, is based in a methodology honed over years of transforming complex information (think risk mitigation, Twitter strategy, search engine optimization) in a visual, easy-to-understand way that helps people stay engaged, excited and eager to learn new skills and habits.
We started out teaching old-school print journalists how to transform their thinking for a digital age (we like to say we saw the handwriting on the wall and it wasn’t handwriting anymore). In 2006, we transformed the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at Ohio State from a print fellowship to a digital media program. Four years later, we launched the first social media training program for journalists in the world, working with reporters and editors from CNN, 60 Minutes, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and other top newsrooms.
